Are you a hands-on finance professional who thrives on improving processes, developing people, and driving system enhancements?\n\nWe're partnering with a very well-established Charity to recruit an Accounts Manager, a key role leading the day-to-day delivery and ongoing evolution of Accounts Payable and Receivable operations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in a finance transformation journey, including the transition to a new cloud-based finance system.\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting to the Head of Finance, you'll lead and develop a small transactional finance team (5-6 people), ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and systems.\n\nYou'll take ownership of:\n\nEnd-to-end AP and AR processes, including credit control\nDriving process improvements and automation (including P2P systems)\nSupporting finance system implementation and optimisation\nDelivering KPI reporting and dashboards to support decision-making\nEnsuring strong financial controls, reconciliations, and a smooth month-end close\nPartnering with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial understanding and complianceThis is a highly visible role, combining operational leadership with continuous improvement and business partnering.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou'll be an experienced transactional finance professional with a passion for systems and process improvement.\n\nWe're looking for:\n\nProven experience managing or supervising a finance team\nStrong background in transactional accounting (AP, AR, credit control)\nExperience improving processes and driving efficiencies\nSystems-savvy, ideally with exposure to ERP or finance system implementations\nConfident communicator, able to build relationships across a business\nAAT qualified or qualified by experienceExperience in a not-for-profit or values-driven organisation would be beneficial, but not essential.\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis is more than a transactional finance role-it's an opportunity to shape processes, influence systems, and develop a team within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.\n\nYou'll benefit from:\n\nHybrid and flexible working (including compressed hours options)\nGenerous annual leave and pension\nA supportive, people-focused culture\nUnique perks and access to visitor attractions for you and your family\nThe chance to contribute to a meaningful organisational missionAdditional Information\n\nFull-time (37.5 hours), with flexibility to consider part-time (30+ hours)\nSome travel to other UK sites may be required
