The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Simulator Support Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Simulator Support Technician, you will play an essential part in ensuring that our customer and our delivery teams have the most advanced simulation equipment available to them in order to maintain levels of activity in accordance with the contract. You will work closely with various departments, within our organisation, including Operations and Field Support Representatives, to manage the influx and outflux of equipment, conduct regular maintenance and equipment repairs, inventory audits, and prepare detailed reports on stock levels and usage. The role will aim to provide Production Engineering support for the final assembly and testing of remotely operated vehicles and systems, with a focus on clear, standardised process documentation. In addition, ensure appropriate production processes, equipment, and facilities are in place to safely and consistently manufacture products to meet cost, time, and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct an analysis of current SOPs in the integration department to identify gaps, outdated procedures and areas for improvement. * Standardise process and procedures across the department to ensure consistency, reduce variation, and enhance cross-departmental collaboration. * Own, document and train others on manufacturing process and standards. * Attend SQCDP meetings and support a hands-on problem solving approach with Area Team Leader and Quality Engineering to achieve OTD and right first time objectives. * Assess compliance and adhere to safety/quality standards. * Providing technical support for production and production control. * Developing, optimising and implementing factory floor layouts/production cells. * Analyse data to drive continuous improvement of processes and workflows. Skills and Experience: * Multi-disciplined senior engineer with an electrical bias and experience in test, pre-commissioning, and fault finding. * Background in low-volume, one-off engineered products and systems; ideal for Production, Project, or Delivery Engineers. * Strong mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering knowledge, especially for complex assemblies like ROVs. * Troubleshooting: Technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve production issues. * Minimum qualifications HNC/HND, Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. * Hands-on production support experience in assembly, testing, and quality control. * Relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt) are a plus; familiarity with hydraulics is also beneficial. The Role: Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated RF Inspection & Test Technician to support our radar and sensors activities at our Fareham office. Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, which is the newest radar in Saab's portfolio - a software defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post-delivery, as well as an established production line. As an Inspection & Test Technician you will work in the Production department as part of the Test & Inspection team. Duties will be (but not limited to) inspecting produced items and units and testing units and the G1X Radar. Whilst the role is based in Fareham there may be opportunities for trips to Sweden for training and knowledge transfer. Key responsibilities include: • Support Inspection & Test Team Leader by being proactive to achieve production goals, • Ensure any soldering and electrical looming is carried out to a high standard in line with company standards and procedures. Test functionality of produced units and sub-assemblies, • Help and support others with training when possible, by passing on knowledge and skills., • Understand and interpret electrical drawings., • Follow documented processes and record results, • Carry out any other duties as detailed by the team leader or Production Supervisor. Maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT (Information & Technology) and other systems required to adequately perform the role., • Act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times, • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines., • Test radar systems, including conducting thorough inspections and performance evaluations to ensure they meet required specifications., • Troubleshoot radar systems by identifying and resolving technical issues, performing diagnostic tests, and implementing corrective actions., • Be familiar with use of standard test and measurement equipment used in either a communications, radar or electronic warfare systems environment, • Enjoy working and developing in a team, • Like cooperating with others but are capable of working individually as well, • Good technical communication skills, • Computer literate, • Capable of good time management, • During your employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret and therefore you must have a UK or Swedish citizenship, • Experienced in the use of multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum and Network Analysers with a knowledge of both analogue and digital systems., • Good knowledge of electrical and electronic components and principles., • Capable of inspecting to IPC class 3 standard, • Have a background in inspection, testing and measurement (3-5 years minimum), • As a person you are positive, social, result oriented and a team player., • Proficiency in documenting procedures, findings, and recommendations.

The Role: This role will be a part of our Saab Seaeye business in Fareham. In this role you will take responsibility for the full-lifecycle design and development of bespoke power conversion and transmission solutions in line with the company's business needs through innovation, creativity and professionalism. As Lead Engineer you will act as Technical Authority for concurrent power projects: from in-house designs to outsourced specification and management. Key Responsibilities: The role seeks an engineer with excellent knowledge of power architectures, transmission, conversion and distribution, whilst having an appreciation for the real-world subtleties involved in creating robust and reliable power systems. You may be working on anything from large-scale power conversion products, efficient cabled transmission designs all the way through to motor drives and low voltage converters. Our voltages range from 24V to 5000V with powers from 500W to 250kW. You will be responsible for the successful design, implementation and delivery into our products. This may include technically leading small multi-disciplinary teams and therefore the candidate must show an aptitude for directing and coordinating project activities and have strong communication/interpersonal skills. A product-focussed mindset is essential: taking a view across the different engineering disciplines to deliver the most appropriate solution. Our products provide unique challenges in designing non-conventional solutions which can meet size, weight and efficiency demands. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: • Significant Experience in Power Electronics, • Full-lifecycle experience: from concept to tested solution, • Self-starter: taking the lead and having a proactive mindset, • Excellent theoretical knowledge backed up by proven hands-on experience, • Proven knowledge of power transmission: AC and DC, applied to multi-km cabled solutions, • Proven Knowledge of DC converter topologies: Buck/Boost/Flyback/LLC/Full-Bridge, • Proven Knowledge of AC converter techniques: single phase/multiphase, power factor correction, • Experience of power converter product design AC-DC, DC-DC and DC-AC inverters, • Experience working with power switching devices: MOSFET, IGBT, SiCFET, GaNFET and associated drive circuitry, • Experience working with voltages up to 5kV and multi-kW powers, • Experience in designing or specifying custom transformer and magnetic components, • Experience using modelling and simulation packages, • Experience in both digital and analogue design concepts, • Experience of filter design and implementation, • Experience designing/specifying control systems for power conversion, • Knowledge of thermal management techniques, • Knowledge of design-for-compliance, • Experience developing requirements specifications and test procedures, • High Voltage Experience up to 5kV, • Thermal modelling experience, • Motor design principles and control techniques
