Responsibilities to include: File Management Under supervision manage client matters according to NPS and ensure a high level of client care. Provide legal and administrative support to fee earner(s) on their client matters. Finance Ensure financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management are managed to enable achievement of personal fee budget and support fee earners in the achievement of theirs. About You: Knowledge and understanding of basic legal concepts learnt from legal education such as undergraduate law, LLM, LPC, GDL or ILEX study; or equivalent work experience; or successful completion of the Paralegal Apprenticeship scheme. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT systems, particularly Mattersphere and Aderant. Excellent typing skills (minimum wpm 35) Relevant work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to think logically and analytically. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders. Commercially aware and highly motivated. Currently Hiring a Full Time Law Cost Draftsman Fully remote working The Costs Team provides a service to our fee earners who deal with recovery of costs in Housing Disrepair claims, their primary aim is dealing with the preparation of bills of costs, negotiation and advocacy within the detailed assessment of costs proceedings. Your Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ambitious individual to join a growing national team. You’ll be involved in the preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed/Provisional Assessment as well as litigation of bills through the Court process. You may be involved in advocacy at Court if required and you may also be required to prepare Part 8 and enforcement proceedings Ideally you’ll have minimum one year experience working either in house or for an external supplier of costs drafting services. We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Immigration Solicitor to join our existing immigration team. We are currently looking for a passionate immigration paralegal/solicitor to join a fantastic legal firm based in the regional office in Blackburn. You will be handling your own caseload of legal aid and private clients. This will be an interesting and diverse workload and the immigration paralegal/solicitor should be self-motivated with good drafting skills to prepare representations. The post-holder will need to have at least three years’ experience of providing advice, casework and representation in and immigration law. This is largely individual casework based. Keep accurate and detailed case records and files for the continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring, and report preparation. To ensure that all advice and casework comply with all regulatory requirements. Work flexibly with other staff to ensure effective work. Contribute to the administration of the office to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the company. To keep up to date with the changes in relevant legislation. To read the relevant asylum and immigration law reports and other relevant materials. Ability to supervise other caseworkers and provide them with legal assistance as and when necessary. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience of handling complicated non-asylum immigration cases in particular Points Based applications. The applicant must be willing to travel to the regional offices at as and when required, this could be at short notice in order to meet client expectations.
