Sales Support Administrator (Full-time) Location: Darwen, Lancashire Salary: Up to £28,000 per year + discretionary bonus Hours: Monday–Friday, full time Start: ASAP (February ideal) Type: Permanent, office-based The opportunity We are recruiting a Sales Support Administrator to join a busy and well-established internal sales team within a successful distribution business. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career who enjoys being organised, working at pace, and supporting a sales function — with the opportunity over time to gain exposure to the commercial and sales side of the business. This is a permanent, office-based role offering stability, training, and genuine long-term progression for the right person. The role The position naturally develops in two phases. Phase 1 – Core sales administration Initially, you will take ownership of essential daily tasks that keep the sales office running smoothly. Once trained, these duties typically take 2–3 hours each morning. Key responsibilities include: • Processing sales orders and associated documentation, • Managing delivery paperwork, proof of delivery requests, credits and debits, • Maintaining accurate customer and pricing records, • Supporting order flow and ensuring daily workload is controlled As confidence grows, the role broadens to include: • Managing the internal sales inbox, • Sending samples and product literature, • Supporting the sales team with customer queries and follow-ups, • Assisting with reactive customer issues and complaints Who this role would suit This role would suit someone who: • Is at an early stage of their career, • Has some exposure to office admin, sales support, recruitment, customer service, or internal sales, • Is organised, reliable, and comfortable handling routine tasks, • Communicates confidently with customers by phone and email What we’re looking for • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks, • Professional and confident communication style, • Comfortable using systems, email, and basic reporting tools, • Proactive, reliable, and willing to take responsibility Salary & benefits • Up to £28,000 base salary, • Discretionary bonus linked to performance, • Stable, well-established business, • Supportive team environment, • Clear opportunity to progress into a more sales-focused role over time
