London
Are you one of those rare people who is at their best when the rest of the city is winding down? At Z Hotels, nights are more than keeping the lights on. Our Night Audit Managers are the calm, capable people who keep the hotel safe, the numbers balanced, the guests looked after, and the day team set up for a brilliant start. We are looking for a Night Audit Manager who likes variety, takes pride in getting the detail right and can bring warmth, common sense and a bit of personality to the overnight shift. This could be a great next step if you are already a Night Auditor, Night Manager, Assistant Night Manager, Front Office Supervisor or Duty Manager and want a role where you are trusted, noticed and genuinely part of the team. You will be the person everyone relies on overnight, part host, part problem-solver, part number-checker, part keeper of calm when the unexpected happens. A little bit about us: Z Hotels is a proudly independent and growing hotel group, with 15 hotels across the UK, including 12 in London and others in Bath, Glasgow and Liverpool. Our hotels offer brilliant city-centre locations, compact stylish rooms, and friendly hospitality without the fuss. This role is based at Z Holborn on Kingsway, a properly central London spot just a short walk from Covent Garden, Theatreland, the City and the British Museum and only around 3 minutes from Holborn Tube station. We like to keep things personal, practical and real, encouraging personal growth and development, supporting each other, and giving people the chance to make a real difference every day. Why this role is more than just working nights Real ownership of the hotel overnight, not just a checklist and a set of keys. A varied role that brings together guest service, finance, operations and team support, so no two nights feel exactly the same. Trust to make sensible decisions, spot what needs doing and keep things moving while the rest of the city sleeps. Support from the Hotel Manager, Area Manager and Group Finance team when you need it. A business where hard work, personality and individuality are noticed, not hidden behind a job title. Shift pattern: 12-hour night shifts, working a 4 on, 4 off pattern. What your nights will look like: Run the overnight operation, making sure guests, team members and the building are safe, supported and well looked after. Complete the night audit, balance transactions, reconcile payments and investigate variances, refunds, no-shows, cancellations and chargebacks. Prepare clear reports, including the Night Audit Report, Business on the Books report, revenue summaries, occupancy information and end-of-day sales reports. Check that PMS, card payments, Square, OTA and back-office systems have processed correctly and are ready for the next trading day. Support Guest Service Assistants, handle guest enquiries or issues, and leave clear handovers so the day team can pick things up easily. Carry out regular walkarounds and follow audit, GDPR, fire safety, health and safety and cash-handling standards. You might be our kind of person if: Experience in a hotel night role, front office, reception, duty management or another guest-facing operational role. Confidence with numbers, reports, payments and reconciliations, and a quiet satisfaction when everything balances. An eye for the details other people miss, from a payment mismatch to a guest who needs a bit of extra help. Calmness when plans change, systems misbehave or a guest appears at reception at 3am needing a solution. A natural way with people, able to support the team without making everything feel overly formal. Warmth and common sense PMS, payment system, back-office or Excel experience would be useful, but attitude, reliability and care matter just as much to us. The good stuff We know work is a big part of life, so we try to make it feel worthwhile, supportive and enjoyable. Alongside the role itself, you will get: 5.6 weeks holiday, with extra days added as your service grows. An extra day off for your birthday, plus a little birthday treat from the team. Meals on duty, because nobody does their best work hungry. Service charge for eligible roles, recognising the great guest experience you help create. Pay Wise+ access after 3 months, giving you more flexibility before payday if you need it. Salary Extras discounts on everyday spending, from supermarkets and travel to fashion, tech and more. Discounted Z Hotels stays, café discounts and a guest experience stay when you join. 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, Spectrum Life wellbeing support, online GP access and Mental Health First Aiders. Life assurance, pension, optical care support and access to a paid volunteer day each year. Learning and development opportunities, including mentoring, learning sponsorships, English learning support, apprenticeships and internal career pathways. Recognition that actually means something, from guest review rewards and Star Awards to long service celebrations, incentives, socials, sports and team events. Fancy joining us?
