Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer Permanent | Tameside, Greater Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £46,000+ per annum A leading housing association is seeking a talented Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to drive digital innovation using the Power Platform and broader M365 ecosystem. About the role Reporting into the IT leadership, you will play a central part in the organisation's digital transformation. You'll build and deliver innovative, scalable solutions to automate processes, enhance staff productivity, and improve services for residents-while migrating legacy applications and integrating with existing systems. The role focuses on hands-on development with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, plus complex integrations (including custom connectors for databases like Oracle and legacy systems such as NEC/DRS). You'll mentor others, champion best practices, and explore emerging tools like Copilot Studio to boost efficiency. Key responsibilities include: • Designing, developing, and implementing secure model-driven and canvas apps, workflows, and automations using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse., • Building custom connectors and integrating M365 services (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) with external systems via Microsoft Graph, APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and more., • Migrating existing applications to Microsoft environments and setting up robust integration patterns for non-Microsoft databases/systems., • Ensuring solutions meet high standards for security, compliance (GDPR, WCAG, Cyber Essentials Plus), accessibility, and DLP policies., • Implementing CI/CD pipelines, version control, monitoring (Azure Monitor, Application Insights), and environment management using Azure DevOps., • Providing technical leadership, mentoring junior developers/citizen developers, and advising stakeholders on translating business needs into effective digital solutions., • Contributing to governance frameworks, design patterns, and staying ahead of the Microsoft roadmap (including AI integrations). About you We're looking for an experienced developer passionate about Microsoft technologies and solving real-world problems in a purpose-led setting. No social housing background is required-your technical expertise is key. Essential: • 4+ years in business application development, with proven enterprise-grade experience using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and M365 ecosystem., • Strong expertise in Dataverse, custom connectors, Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions)., • Proficiency in Power Fx, JavaScript, C#, HTML/CSS, and integrating third-party systems via REST APIs., • Experience with complex integrations (including non-Microsoft databases/systems) and secure, compliant solution design (DLP, sensitivity labels, authentication)., • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps practices, CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps), and monitoring tools., • Exposure to Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Microsoft Fabric, or mobile app integrations., • Previous work with Oracle databases or similar legacy systems.
