🌟 Now Hiring: Interaction Designers (Mid, Senior/Lead, Manager) 🌟 I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a top 10 global technology management consulting firm, and we’re looking for exceptional Interaction Designers across multiple levels. These roles involve impactful work across UK Government and private-sector clients, delivering user-centred, accessible designs aligned with GDS standards. 🔎 About the Role As an Interaction Designer, you will play a key part in designing user-centred, accessible and intuitive services for public sector clients, with opportunities to work across government and private-sector projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions aligned with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards. You’ll work in agile, fast-paced environments where creative thinking, prototyping, user research, and strong communication skills are essential. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider XD community. 💼 Available Roles & Salary Ranges • Mid-Level Interaction Designer - £55,000–£65,000, • Senior / Lead Interaction Designer - £70,000–£80,000, • (Mentoring/supporting junior designers required), • Manager, Interaction Design - £85,000–£90,000, • (Line management experience required) 🏢 Working Model • Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week in a company office, • Work may include client sites, company offices, and home, • 20+ office locations across the UK: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool, Bath, Inverness, Treforest, and more. 🧠 Your Responsibilities • Design and present user interfaces, flows, IA, and interaction concepts, • Conduct research to understand user needs and translate insights into design solutions, • Deliver accessible, inclusive, and evidence-based products and services, • Visualise, articulate, and solve complex problems, • Build interactive prototypes (paper + digital), • Create coded prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or the GOV.UK Prototyping Toolkit, • Collaborate closely with dev teams to ensure technical considerations are incorporated, • Facilitate workshops, manage research, build personas, and present findings, • Work effectively in agile, iterative delivery environments, • Engage senior stakeholders to secure alignment and buy-in, • Support and mentor junior colleagues (Senior/Lead & Manager roles) 🎨 Essential Skills & Experience • Solid grounding in user-centred design from discovery to delivery, • Ability to choose and apply the right tools/methods throughout agile delivery, • Experience using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc., • Ability to justify design decisions using evidence and research, • Proven ability to produce user flows, journey maps, service maps, and wireframes, • Understanding of inclusive and accessible design, • Experience with rapid paper and digital prototyping, • Coding experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or the GOV.UK Prototyping Toolkit, • Knowledge of GitHub, Heroku, Node.js, • Experience working with senior stakeholders, • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams, • Experience managing/mentoring junior designers (for senior roles) ⭐ Desirable • Consultancy experience, • Experience leading design sessions and integrating diverse viewpoints, • Ability to connect design execution to broader strategic outcomes, • Experience across multiple sectors, • Multi-disciplinary design background 🔐 Eligibility & Pre-Employment Checks To apply, you must: • Be based in the UK, • Have existing right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available), • Be eligible for SC Clearance If successful, you will also undergo pre-employment checks, including: • Identity & nationality verification, • Employment history (3 continuous years), • DBS (unspent criminal record check)
