Job Title: Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Teaching Assistant Location: Newport Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time Pay: Weekly pay Teaching Personnel are recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner / Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in nursery and Early Years settings across Newport. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing approach who enjoys supporting young children at the earliest stage of their development. About the Role * Supporting children in nursery and Early Years settings * Assisting with play-based learning and EYFS activities * Supporting children’s social, emotional and communication development * Working 1:1 and in small groups where required * Supporting daily routines including snack time, toileting and transitions * Creating a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment * Working closely with nursery staff and Early Years practitioners The Ideal Candidate * Experience in Early Years, nursery or childcare settings * Understanding of early childhood development and EYFS * Patient, nurturing and engaging approach * Confident supporting children with additional needs when required * Reliable, proactive and able to use initiative * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer * Weekly pay * Opportunities across a range of nursery and Early Years settings * Free CPD including EYFS, safeguarding and ALN awareness * Ongoing support from a dedicated Teaching Personnel consultant * Long-term opportunities and career progression If you are passionate about Early Years education and supporting young children, we would love to hear from you.
