Fabric Technician Location: Peterborough (PE1) Contract: Temporary We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a busy facilities management contract based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabric maintenance and painting & decorating experience, working within a commercial environment. The role: You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring the building is kept to a high standard and remains safe and operational at all times.Key duties include: • Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks, • Carrying out reactive fabric repairs, • Inspecting and repairing floors, walls, doors, windows and associated fittings, • Painting and decorating works across the site as required, • Minor repairs to freestanding and fitted furniture, • Assisting engineering staff with general maintenance tasks, • Maintaining accurate maintenance, health & safety and quality records, • Managing tools, equipment and consumable stock, • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Fabric Technician, • Strong all-round fabric maintenance skillset, • Good knowledge of painting techniques and methods, • Plastering experience (advantageous but not essential), • Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
