GBR Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading progressive people centric East Midlands based construction company, recruiting for an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to lead the HR / ER / Payroll process across the organisation in a true HR Generalist (360 degree) capacity, reporting to the HR Director, overseeing HR Advisor (x2) & HR Assistant (x2) & working in close partnership as a HRBP with the SMT members.\n\nYou will be a time served HR Manager / People Manager with Payroll experience, who is ideally CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified & from within a business employing over 500 employees.\n\nThis key HRM role is on-site based at the Leicester HQ 5 days a week (no hybrid).\n\nThe client not only wants a 360 degree HR generalist but also someone with strong knowledge of payroll processing & systems (oversees a Payroll Manager).\n\nThe Purpose of the HRM:\n\n * HRBP 360 degree generalist duties\n\n * Ensuring employment practices are aligned with the companies people strategy & the HR policy, supporting key areas such as HR / ER / Payroll / Employee Engagement, Employment Law & Well being / Diversity / Full inclusion activities.\n\n * Ensuring full compliance with UK employment law & legislation.\n\n * Implementation of ongoing strategic HR / ER policies.\n\n * Supporting L&D / Training plans.\n\n * Systems improvements / implementation & Payroll activity support\n\nDuties:\n\n * Full responsibility for the professional delivery of the HR / ER function\n\n * 360 HR Generalist duties, plus supporting & at time processing payroll\n\n * Driving effective recruitment & selection, controlling absence management, leading disciplinary hearings, dealing with any grievances, employment law advice to employees & managers, plus general 360 degree HR support (HR Generalist position).\n\n * Leading people planning, resourcing & restructuring.\n\n * Driving employee engagement activities.\n\n * HR Business Partnering with the SMT & wider business teams.\n\n * Leading HR / ER related projects as delegated by the HRD.\n\n * Continuously improve HR / ER working practices and procedures\n\n * Set / modify terms & conditions of employment with staff.\n\n * Producing HR data reports, presenting findings to the SMT with the HRD.\n\n * Advise & devise career development plans.\n\n * Mentor, coach & develop the HR Advisors & HR Assistants.\n\nExperience & Qualifications:\n\n * Strong HR/ER & Employee Engagement experience.\n\n * Strong payroll knowledge / experience (some processing experience)\n\n * Used to working in operations of 500+ employees.\n\n * Strong knowledge of Well-being, Diversity & Full inclusion (EDI)\n\n * CIPD L5 or L7 qualified\n\n * Strong HRIS experience\n\n * Up to date knowledge of employment law & best practice\n\n * A real team player who thrives in developing & supporting others\n\n * Construction industry experience would be useful but not a must\n\nThis role offers 36 days holiday, a bonus scheme, car allowance or car, BUPA healthcare & more.\n\nAn "Employer of Choice" with a fantastic reputation within the industry.\n\nGreat company, amazing people & fantastic end products.\n\nThis role may suit someone working as a HR Manager, HR Business Partner, People Manager, People Business Partner, Regional HR Advisor, Head of HR or similar.\n\nThe role is commutable from Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & parts of Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire.\n\nAll applications are via GBR Recruitment only.\n\nApply today
