Every service is real, fast-paced and client-facing, meaning standards must remain consistently outstanding while development happens behind the scenes. \n The Role \n As a Chef within the events team, you will: \n\n • Lead the creation and execution of high-quality, visually stunning canapés for premium events\n, • Work across production and live event service, including evenings and weekends\n, • Inspire and guide a team of trainees, passing on knowledge and best practice\n, • Deliver exceptional food consistently, ensuring client expectations are exceeded\n, • Support with menu development, food prep systems, and event logistics\n, • Maintain excellent standards of food safety, organisation, and stock control\n\n About You \n This role could suit a strong Canapé Chef, Sous Chef or Pastry Chef with a flair for detail and presentation. \n You will have: \n\n • Proven experience producing high-quality canapés or event catering food in a fast-paced kitchen\n, • A creative, detail-focused approach with a passion for presentation\n, • Confidence leading by example and supporting the development of others\n, • Experience or interest in training, mentoring, or coaching team members\n, • Strong organisation skills and the ability to deliver under pressure at events\n\n Salary & Benefits \n\n • £35,000–£40,000 basic salary\n, • Paid overtime or TOIL for additional event hours \n, • Monday–Friday core working structure\n, • Opportunity to work on high-profile events across London & the South-East\n, • Career development within a growing, purpose-driven organisation\n, • Supportive, inclusive team environment\n, • Access to a fantastically equipped production kitchen near Banstead\n\n For more information, make an application via the Reed website or The Caterer, or speak to anyone on the London Reed Hospitality recruitment team.
