Skilled Trades Teacher (SEN & SEMH Setting) \n \n A nurturing independent specialist school in Tameside is looking for a Skilled Trades Teacher to join their close-knit school (ECTs and unqualified teachers welcome). \n \n This is a unique opportunity to join this well-established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for a Skilled Trades Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils. You will be inspring students though skilled trades such as plastering and joinery and making a real difference in their lives. \n \n Job description: \n\n • Planning and delivering engaging Plastering and Joinery lessons, to KS4 & KS5 pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs\n, • Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support\n, • Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture-focused learning\n, • Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes\n, • Preparing pupils for transition to KS4 and KS5\n, • Working hours: 8:15am - 4pm\n, • Starting asap/September\n, • Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 (Pro rata - Term Time - Only 39 Weeks)\n\n \n Person specification: \n\n • Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting\n, • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2/3+ and/or significant industry experience\n, • Experience teaching in SEND, PRU, or with learners with SEMH needs is desireable\n, • Experience of adapting teaching to various needs\n, • Ability to work effectively in a team\n, • Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude\n, • Relevant vocational qualifications\n\n \n This growing group of friendly SEMH schools also offer ongoing training and opportunities for career progression, alongside a supportive team culture. \n \n Does this role sound like the next exciting step for you?
