Whether you are available immediately or looking for a September start, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).The RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, including:Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)ADHDSpeech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsModerate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)Physical and sensory impairmentsResponsibilities include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SENDAssisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional developmentPromoting positive behaviour and engagement in learningWorking collaboratively with teachers and parents/carersHelping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environmentRequirementsWe welcome applications from candidates who:Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience desirable but not essential)Possess strong communication and interpersonal skillsAre patient, empathetic, and adaptableCan build positive relationships with pupils and staffHold relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications (advantageous but not essential)What We OfferImmediate and September start opportunitiesFlexible full-time and part-time positionsOngoing professional development and trainingSupportive school environmentsCompetitive rates of payOpportunities for career progression within educationSafeguardingAll appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
