    Little Friends Nursery is an established, outstanding early years setting in Wood Green, North London (N22). We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with young children, understands the importance of providing high-quality early years education and is confident contributing as part of a busy nursery team. The role will include: • Providing a safe, caring, stimulating and engaging environment for children., • Supporting children's learning and development in accordance with the EYFS., • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs., • Acting as a Key Person and building positive relationships with children and their families., • Completing observations, assessments and children's learning records., • Supporting children's personal care, mealtimes, sleep routines and daily transitions., • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene., • Carrying out daily room and environmental risk assessments as required., • Working collaboratively with Room Leaders, management and other practitioners., • Helping to maintain an organised, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment., • Supporting children with additional needs and working inclusively with all children., • Communicating professionally and positively with parents and carers. What we are looking for Ideally, applicants will hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare or an equivalent qualification recognised as suitable for working within the EYFS. We will also consider strong candidates who are currently completing a relevant childcare qualification. The successful candidate should: • Have experience working with children in an early years setting., • Have a good understanding of the EYFS., • Understand safeguarding responsibilities within an early years environment., • Be dependable, punctual and committed to their role., • Have good written and verbal communication skills., • Be able to work effectively as part of a team., • Be confident communicating with parents and colleagues., • Be proactive and willing to contribute ideas and activities., • Have a genuine interest in children's development and wellbeing., • Be willing to undertake training and continued professional development. Working pattern We are particularly interested in candidates who can work a minimum of 4 days per week. Our nursery operates between 8:00am and 6:00pm, and applicants should be able to work flexibly within these hours.     Job Purpose To provide a high-quality caretaking, cleaning and grounds-maintenance service for residents living on the estate. The postholder will help ensure that communal areas, estate grounds, facilities and equipment are clean, safe, secure and well maintained. The role also involves identifying and reporting repairs, supporting contractors working on the estate and maintaining positive working relationships with residents and colleagues. The duties listed below are not exhaustive. The postholder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties that support the effective and safe operation of the estate. Main Responsibilities Estate Cleaning and General Care • Ensure estate cleaning frequencies and standards are maintained as directed by the TMO / Estate Manager., • Clean and wash communal areas, including staircases, entrances and other shared spaces., • Clean communal windowsills, glass doors and other accessible communal surfaces., • Remove graffiti where appropriate and report more serious incidents to the Manager., • Carry out litter picking across estate grounds, grassed areas and shrub beds., • Sweep estate areas, pathways and other communal external spaces., • Grit pathways and other areas during icy or hazardous weather conditions., • Ensure estate roads, paths and communal areas are kept clean and free from avoidable hazards., • Undertake general internal upkeep of residential blocks. Grounds Maintenance • Maintain estate grounds to a good standard., • Cut grass and maintain lawned areas., • Tend to shrubs, hedges, flowerbeds and planted areas., • Clear leaves and other garden waste., • Keep external communal spaces tidy, safe and presentable.
