Senior Mechanical Project Manager – LondonThe Company Our client is an established mechanical building services contractor delivering a varied portfolio of projects across London and the surrounding areas.Their work covers a broad range of mechanical services including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, air conditioning and associated building services installations, with projects typically ranging from approximately £250k through to £5m in value .The business has a strong pipeline of work and is continuing to grow its London delivery team. They are now looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager who can take genuine ownership of projects technically, commercially and operationally.This is not simply a site-management position with responsibility for coordinating labour and subcontractors.The successful individual will be expected to understand the complete project lifecycle, retain control of design and delivery, identify problems early and confidently drive projects through to completion.The Role You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects across London.Depending on the project, this could involve managing a number of smaller schemes, one or two projects in the £2m-£4m range , or taking responsibility for a larger mechanical package approaching £5m .The important distinction is the level of ownership.You will be expected to understand what is happening technically, commercially and operationally across your projects and to We're hiring a Director of Self-Serve to take full commercial ownership of Paddle's self-serve motion, running and scaling it as a business line. Self-serve is a material and fast-moving part of our revenue, and it needs an owner who thinks in unit economics, not just funnel metrics. You'll set the strategic direction, and work across Finance, Product, Engineering, Demand Generation, Partnerships, and RevOps to align everyone behind it. Getting this right is a genuinely cross-functional endeavour, and your ability to bring people with you will be just as important as your commercial acumen. You'll operate with a small, focused team including engineering capacity. This is a role for someone who wants to build and run the engine hands on, not manage through layers. Own the line. Carry the commercial number for self-serve end to end, from acquisition through adoption, to revenue and net retention. Own the unit economics, and how they improve. Set the strategy. Form a clear commercial view of where self-serve creates value, ensure Finance and Product alignment, and translate it into a plan the business can execute against. Own activation and time-to-value. Evolve who and how we onboard through self-serve, how we nurture them through lifecycle stages, and the in-product experience that gets them to value fast. Increasing volume while decreasing time-to-value, not trading one for the other. You fundamentally approach the self-serve experience as a product, running structured discovery and experimentation, not defaulting to only marketing levers. Shape the demand. Define the customer profile that makes the economics work and work collaboratively with Demand Generation on the targeting you need, co-owning a single funnel against a shared ICP. Orchestrate cross-functionally. Codify the work into clear streams with clear owners, influence the Product, Engineering, and Risk roadmaps, and run a regular business cadence that keeps people aligned on priorities and impact. They are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager, or potentially a Senior Mechanical Project Manager, who can take genuine ownership of projects and manage them from initial handover through to completion. Job Description Overview As a Portfolio Manager for PDA, responsible for delivering a £13m annual programme of linear and street lighting asset replacement projects across the M25 – one of the UK’s busiest and most complex motorway networks. Leading a team of Project Managers, you will oversee around 60 projects each year, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from early investigation and design development through to construction and handover, working closely with contractors, stakeholders and the client to achieve predictable and cost-effective delivery. We are seeking a Portfolio Manager with proven experience delivering a programme of projects of comparable value. You will have strong leadership skills, experience managing teams in a matrix organisation, and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. You’ll be managing smaller data centre projects and upgrade works across City of London, Welwyn Garden City and Harlow. The work is expected to include live environment upgrades, data hall modifications, electrical infrastructure improvements, LV distribution, containment, structured cabling, security, controls interfaces, UPS / generator interfaces, commissioning support and handover. These are not basic commercial projects. They are controlled data centre environments where safety, planning, communication, sequencing and client confidence all matter. You’ll control the overall operational delivery of electrical-biased MEP projects from bid support and pre-commencement through to practical completion and close-out. That means taking responsibility for safety, technical delivery, commercial performance, programme, supply chain coordination, customer reporting and the day-to‑day management of the project team.
