Applied Research Scientist – 3D, PBR & Generative Models London preferred | Full-time | Visa sponsorship available The mission Help turn messy, real‑world photos into production‑ready, PBR‑accurate 3D assets using generative models. This is a small, graphics‑focused startup working with high‑end film, games and immersive studios, building tools that quietly sit behind some very pretty pixels. The role You’ll be the researcher driving the models that predict material properties and generate geometry from multi‑view image data. Your work won’t live in a PDF – it will ship into real artist workflows, fast, and help automate the jump from photos to textured, physically‑based assets. What you’ll do • Propose, implement and evaluate state‑of‑the‑art models for PBR material prediction and 3D asset creation., • Build on top of modern vision transformers and diffusion‑style architectures to extract maps like roughness, normals, specular and diffuse from images., • Design models that respect multi‑view consistency and can work from dense shots through to sparse or text‑conditioned inputs., • Run experiments, define baselines and track progress against product‑level quality bars, not just academic metrics., • Work closely with engineering teams to get your models into production tools and influence how a unique 3D/PBR dataset is collected and used. What you bring • PhD (or equivalent experience) in ML, computer vision, graphics or a closely related field., • Strong PyTorch skills and experience training models on large‑scale image or 3D data., • Track record in generative AI, material estimation, 3D‑aware learning or similar high‑impact research areas., • Comfortable taking ideas from sketch → prototype → evaluated model, quickly., • Bonus: photogrammetry, material/UV workflows, PBR and shading models, self‑supervised methods (e.g. CLIP‑style), 3D reconstruction, inverse rendering or texture synthesis. About the role ✨ We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team and be the driving force that designs, builds and scales the backend application services for our web platform. At M-XR we developed Marso as a way to capture real-world PBR material data alongside conventional photogrammetry from simple flash photography. Marso is now actively being used by an array of studios, brands & museums to digitise previously unobtainable assets at scale. This gives us one of the most unique and physically accurate 3D datasets in the world. Now we’re building an ML-powered pipeline that can automatically predict material properties (diffuse, roughness, specular, metallic, normals) from photogrammetry input alone - without flash. This is made possible by tapping into our uniquely rich dataset of real-world material scans. Our goal is to remove the need for manual texturing and enable full end-to-end automation, from photos to PBR assets at high fidelity and scale. You’ll be helping bring this technology to market. You will: • Define, build and maintain the backend application services for our web SaaS platform, enabling new 3D-PBR asset creation workflows., • Work with frontend developers to design and implement high-performance APIs that deliver exceptional user experiences., • Integrate with ML infrastructure to orchestrate model workflows, manage job queues, and deliver results to users. THE ROLE We are looking for a Global Booking & Operations Manager to join the Global Live Events team at Ministry of Sound. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Live Events to deliver Ministry of Sound’s worldwide touring programme, which includes club shows, festival stages, branded events, and the Ministry of Sound 35th Anniversary World Tour. This position is central to the smooth running of our global operations. You will oversee the entire artist booking process from start to finish, advance shows internationally, liaise with promoters across multiple regions, and ensure every event is executed flawlessly. Your work will require a deep connection to the global electronic music scene and a strong understanding of dance culture, touring logistics, and stakeholder management. You will curate line-ups in collaboration with the Head of Live Events and manage all aspects of artist bookings, including availability requests, contract negotiations, paperwork, riders, approvals, and payment schedules. Maintaining accurate booking trackers, calendars, and internal systems will be essential. Operationally, you will lead the advancing of global shows, coordinating with artist management, tour managers, promoters, and production teams. This includes managing travel arrangements, technical and hospitality riders, visas, logistics, and itineraries, as well as producing run sheets, event briefs, and communication packs. You will ensure promoters receive all marketing assets and brand materials on time and uphold Ministry of Sound’s operational and brand standards. As a key point of contact for promoters worldwide, you will monitor deliverables, deadlines, marketing approvals, ticketing updates, and advancing progress, escalating any operational or reputational issues when necessary. Internally, you will manage departmental files, contracts, and finance logs, prepare global touring reports and post-show summaries, and coordinate with marketing, legal, production, and finance teams to ensure seamless workflows. You will also support the Head of Live Events with organisational tasks and system optimisation. The role will occasionally require onsite support at major international and domestic events, where you will represent Ministry of Sound professionally and in line with brand values. To succeed, you should have proven experience in artist bookings, show advancing, touring logistics, or event operations, along with a strong understanding of electronic music culture and the global promoter ecosystem. Exceptional organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple international projects under pressure. You should be confident working with artist teams, promoters, and production companies, and comfortable with evening and weekend work as well as international travel.
