Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor Location: London Employment Type: Full-Time | About the Role Join a leading engineering and construction business where your skills will shape the future of high-performance environments. At JCA, we're seeking a driven and commercially astute Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a portfolio of contracts—ensuring services are delivered cost-effectively, compliantly, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities • Take full financial and commercial responsibility for your contracts portfolio, • Support delivery teams with monthly valuations, cost forecasting, applications, and variations, • Ensure contracts are administered in line with legal frameworks and timelines, • Monitor and report on project costs, sales, gross profit, and commercial risks, • Develop strong client relationships to drive repeat business and contract retention, • Identify new revenue streams and contribute to strategic business growth, • Maintain accurate commercial data, records, and reports, • Manage and develop supply chain relationships and sub-contractor performance, • Prepare and manage all aspects of tenders and contract documentation, • Lead or support quantity surveying teams where applicable What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a keen commercial mindset and strong industry knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Required Qualifications & Experience: • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering, • Professional certification (e.g. MRICS) preferred, • Proven commercial leadership experience in construction or engineering, • Strong understanding of construction contracts and risk management, • Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, Document Management Systems, and tools such as Asta Powerproject or Anaplan, • Familiarity with SME environments and broad business operations, • CSCS Card holder, • Valid UK Driving Licence Key Skills: • Analytical, strategic, and detail-focused, • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management, • Clear and confident communication, • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset Why Join JCA?
