We design accurate, user-friendly wearable medical devices that enable patients to be diagnosed and monitored at home. Our goal is to improve health outcomes, reduce pressure on healthcare systems, and transform lives. It is now being used across healthcare systems in the UK, Europe, and the United States, and has been recommended for use in the NHS by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). AcuPebble is the result of over 15 years of research led by our founder, Professor Esther Rodriguez-Villegas, at Imperial College London. General Manager - Pizzeria
    3 days ago
    $35000–$50000 yearly
    Full-time
    London

Ciao, If you love the buzz of a busy restaurant. If you know your team comes before your ego. If you're the sort of person who'll jump on the pass, greet customers at the door, run food, wash dishes or clean the toilets because the team needs you... Keep reading. We recognise this probably isn't the job for everyone. If you're looking for somewhere to sit in the office checking spreadsheets all day... This probably isn't for you. If you think being a General Manager means telling everyone else what to do... Probably not for you either. At Fatto a Mano, everyone is hands on during service. Nobody takes a back seat. From our Kitchen Porters to our Head Pizzaiolo, everyone works together to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. It's this people-first approach that has helped us grow from one small Brighton pizzeria into an independent business across London and Brighton. The Role We make proper Neapolitan pizza, but we're really in the people business. We're looking for someone to lead one of our London restaurants. Not someone to "manage" it. Someone who'll build a team people love being part of. Someone who creates the sort of restaurant where customers can feel the atmosphere the moment they walk through the door. Someone who genuinely cares. Key Responsibilities • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing management and Waiting Team, • Deliver exceptional standards of food quality, service and cleanliness, • Manage labour, costs, sales and profitability in line with business targets, • Build a positive, respectful culture where people can thrive, • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by leading every service from the floor not from the office, • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and company procedures, • Work closely with the wider management and support teams to continually improve the business, • Lead the day-to-day operation of your pizzeria while maintaining a clear 365-day operational plan About You We don't expect perfection. We do expect someone who leads with humility, cares about people and understands that the best General Managers never stop learning. Every great leader has a story. Maybe you started as a Kitchen Porter, Waiter, Pizza Chef or Supervisor. Maybe someone gave you your first opportunity. Maybe someone inspired the way you lead today, or perhaps you learned from leaders you never wanted to become. Whatever your journey, we'd love to hear it. ++We're looking for someone who:++ • Has proven experience as a General Manager within a high-quality hospitality environment, • Leads from the floor, not from the office, • Makes difficult days feel easier for the team, • Is comfortable doing every job in the building, whether that's running food, greeting customers, washing dishes or cleaning toilets when the team needs support, • Cares deeply about standards without becoming obsessed with rules, • Understands that exceptional hospitality is built on hundreds of small moments, • Is passionate about coaching, developing and inspiring others, just as someone once did for them, • Is commercially confident and understands budgets, labour, margins and KPIs because they know these keep the business healthy, • Is organised, calm under pressure and able to make good decisions during busy services, • Takes ownership, is accountable and leads with integrity Why Join Fatto a Mano? • Join a growing independent business with strong values and long-term ambition, • Be trusted to run your pizzeria with genuine autonomy and support, • Work alongside a passionate, people-first leadership team, • Real opportunities for progression as we continue to expand, • Competitive salary and benefits, discussed at interview, • A pizzeria you'll genuinely be proud of Many of our leaders have grown with us, and as we continue to expand, we're committed to creating opportunities for the next generation of General Managers to do the same. **Before You Apply ++We'd love to know more than what's written on your CV.++ What first made you fall in love with hospitality? Who has had the biggest influence on the way you lead? What experiences have shaped the manager you've become? We're looking for someone who's still curious, still learning and still passionate about building great teams and creating memorable experiences for customers. We're not looking for the loudest person in the room. We're looking for the person the room naturally follows. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
