About the Company: Join our client’s dynamic business in the UK renewable energy sector as a Utility-Scale Solar PV Electrician. In this fully mobile role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of DC and AC systems on large-scale solar farm projects nationwide. Key Responsibilities: • Install, terminate, and test DC string cabling from solar modules to combiner boxes and inverters, ensuring correct polarity, labelling, and compliance with technical drawings., • Install and terminate LV/MV cables within trenches, containment, and substations—including connections to inverters, transformers, and AC systems., • Support the installation of switchgear, control panels, and SCADA cabling as required., • Assist with testing and commissioning activities, including continuity, insulation resistance, and earth testing, as well as inverter energisation and troubleshooting., • Read and interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules, and schematics to complete work to high standards and deadlines., • Maintain accurate installation records and contribute to quality and handover documentation., • Work in strict compliance with site health and safety requirements, including safe isolation, permit systems, and environmental regulations. What We’re Looking For: • Proven experience on utility-scale Solar PV projects (domestic-only experience will not be considered), • Experience with LV and/or MV cable installation and terminations, • Understanding of DC systems and AC export infrastructure, • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, • Experience working on construction sites Qualifications: • Recognised Electrical Qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent), • ECS/CSCS card (required), • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred), • Additional testing or MV authorisation (advantageous) Benefits: • Supportive team structure and positive work environment, • Company van provided if required for travel to sites, • Work clothing and PPE supplied, • NEST pension scheme Working Environment: • Site-based, mobile role - projects are located throughout the UK, • Outdoor work with travel to various project sites as needed How to Apply: Submit your CV highlighting your utility-scale Solar PV experience and relevant certifications.
