At BUUK Infrastructure, our vision is to be the leading utility partner to accelerate the UK towards net zero for all our customers.Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.Our group of companies has been the major drive for change and innovation over 30 years.We provide a supportive environment that is committed to enabling our people to be the best ensuring they feel proud to be themselves and part of BUUK Infrastructure.We are looking for Assistant Facilities Manager (Fixed Term) who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.This is a 14 month fixed term contract.Purpose of this role Assist in leading the facilities team who are responsible for the maintenance of BUUKs buildings and associated equipment and services on a day-to-day basis.This role will be a key liaison for site services and manage the external contractors and sub-contractors, applying health, safety, environmental and quality standards as required by the companies policies and procedures.Your key responsibilities are Assist in overseeing and mentoring the facilities team who are responsible for the maintenance of BUUKs buildings and associated equipment and services.Respond to, escalate, record, and complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks where required and within individual competence ensuring prompt follow up with stakeholders.Be a key liaison for site services and manage the external contractors and sub-contractors, applying health, safety, environment and quality standards.Complete and stay current with all required SHEQ training and risk reporting.Be proactive in highlighting and driving preventive measures and controls.Assist the Group Facilities Manager to plan and coordinate all premises-based works activities, identify process improvements, review environmental targets and recommend cost saving opportunities.Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g.heating system, fire & intruder alarms).Maintain an updated record of maintenance of equipment and internal system and document processes.Assist the Group Facilities Manager with longer term/larger scale projects such as office moves/ relocations and or significant refurbishment works.Visit other BUUK Group premises as and when required to monitor/ review ongoing facilities activities.Any other duties as required by the business.Qualifications Management professional qualification or currently working towards a qualification.Experience/Knowledge Previous facilities maintenance experience or equivalent.Previous Soft/ hard FM proven experience.Experience completing site inductions, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and all site relevant permits.Experience of leading a team and projects.Abilities/Skills Ability to effectively communicate engage with and inspire colleagues.Be adaptable to any situation in a calm and collected manner.Strong understanding of Microsoft Office & Excel.Desirable Basic health and safety knowledge (IOSH or NEBOSH).PowerPoint, MS Project and CAD.What can you expect from us Cost of living annual pay review.Company pension contributions up to 10% if employees contribute 5%.33 days holiday including bank holidays with the ability to purchase an additional 2 weeks.Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay.To say thank you, each time you successfully refer someone you will receive a referral payment of £1000 (net of tax).Hybrid working for eligible roles.Development opportunities to reach your career aspirations.BUUK has an award-winning culture.We care about your wellbeing and safety as we all deserve the right to go home safe, every day.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, we respect each other and advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion in all we do.Research shows that women and people from different underrepresented backgrounds often only apply for a job if they meet 100% of the listed qualifications.If you would like to be a part of our team and you meet many, but not all our requirements for this role, please apply.You can also ask us about flexible working options.Please note we reserve the right to close the role early. xjlbheb Therefore, if youre interested in this role, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
