Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person Ascot Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our specialist multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide expert neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and other progressive or traumatic neurological disorders. The role involves working closely with our medical, nursing, and therapy teams to optimise patients’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioural recovery through a holistic, evidence-based neurorehabilitation approach. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning using standardised tools and structured clinical interviews., • Formulate and deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at cognitive rehabilitation, emotional adjustment, and behavioural management., • Deliver specialised psychological interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and compensatory strategy training to support mood, adjustment, and coping., • Provide psychological support to patients and families to promote adjustment to injury, resilience, and engagement in rehabilitation., • Collaborate closely within the multidisciplinary neurorehabilitation team (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, nurses, and medical consultants) to ensure coordinated and person-centred care., • Offer expert advice to the MDT on behavioural management, cognitive strategy implementation, and patient motivation., • Provide supervision, training, and psychological input to assistant psychologists, therapy assistants, and other rehabilitation staff., • Contribute to service development, clinical audit, and research to advance Ascot Rehabilitation’s position as a centre of clinical excellence and innovation., • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist., • Substantial post-qualification experience in neuropsychology and neurological rehabilitation., • Eligibility for (or working towards) inclusion on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists., • Demonstrated proficiency in neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, behavioural therapy, and psychoeducation)., • Experience managing complex neurobehavioural presentations in inpatient and/or community rehabilitation settings., • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, research, and continuous professional development.
