In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough MOT tests in compliance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental requirements. The ideal candidate is ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety and customer satisfaction are top priorities and can offer MOT repairs and servicing skills. Possibility of part-time if required. Duties • Perform MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles Class 4 only, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards., • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, including brakes, lights, suspension, emissions, and other key systems., • Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs or adjustments identified during testing., • Maintain accurate records of all tests performed, including detailed reports on vehicle condition and test outcomes., • Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing worn parts or performing minor repairs when necessary., • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly for optimal performance., • Skills, • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components., • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in automotive diagnostics and repairs., • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle inspections or repairs., • Excellent attention to detail to identify faults accurately during testing procedures., • Good communication skills to explain findings clearly to customers or team members., • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
