Job Duties: - Prepare and oversee the preparation of the food in the curry section of the kitchen. - Must have a good understanding of ingredients/spices used in the curries - Prepare a range of Curry dishes using the traditional techniques, herbs and spices. - Must have proven track record of producing quality, authentic curries. - Ability to work quickly whilst maintaining high standards. - assist in menu planning, prepares, seasons and cooks curries and oversees preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes; - supervises, organises and instructs kitchen staff and manages the curry section of the kitchen; - ensures relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen; - Work with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean, sanitised kitchen space at all times. - Restock items when required and maintain stock levels as required. - Advise on new dishes for the menu. - Examine new purchases and food stuff to ensure quality. Salary :- £27,497.60 Per Year Hours per week: 40 Hours
