Do you have solid experience in commercial insurance and are you looking for the next step in your career with a growing, independent brokerage? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Account Handler to join our friendly and ambitious team at Plan Insurance Brokers. Joining us means you’ll be working Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm (no weekends), earning a competitive salary of £35,000–£40,000 OTE, with the opportunity to earn 15% uncapped commission on new business. We also offer hybrid working, alongside excellent training and long-term career development opportunities. What does the role involve? As a Commercial Account Handler, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing your own book of commercial clients, acting as their main point of contact and building long-term relationships based on trust and expertise. Your day-to-day role will include: • Broking and negotiating renewals, ensuring accurate and competitive cover, • Identifying and maximising cross-sell and upsell opportunities, • Handling client enquiries from start to finish with a professional, solutions-focused approach, • Working closely with insurers and underwriters to secure the best outcomes for clients, • Ensuring all activity meets FCA and Consumer Duty requirements, • Maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service at all times You’ll be supported by additional admin resource for mid-term adjustments and post-inception tasks, allowing you to focus on client relationships and growth. What are we looking for? We’re looking for an experienced, motivated insurance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. You’ll need: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial insurance (including Fleet, Property Owners & Liability), • At least 2 years’ experience using Acturis, • Cert CII qualification (or working towards), • Exposure to Consumer Duty audit requirements, • Strong organisation, communication and negotiation skills, • A proactive, positive attitude with a desire to continuously develop your knowledge Most importantly, you’ll bring professionalism, integrity and a strong work ethic to everything you do.
