An established and well-respected Scottish food wholesaler is looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager (Area Sales Manager) to join the team and drive growth across Scotland. This is a true field sales role, giving you full ownership of your territory. You’ll be managing existing trade accounts while actively winning new business, building strong relationships, and representing a high-quality product range. You’ll have real autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a close-knit, growing business. What You’ll Be Doing • Managing and growing a portfolio of existing trade accounts, • Winning new business through proactive prospecting and networking, • Presenting and promoting a diverse product range, including new and seasonal lines, • Achieving sales targets and contributing to overall business growth, • Gathering market intelligence (customers, competitors, product opportunities), • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in field sales or account management, • Background in food, FMCG, wholesale, or hospitality preferred, • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own territory, • Genuine interest in food, particularly speciality or artisan products, • £40,000+ Commission (to be discussed), • Company car, • Discretionary bonus, • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), • Pension scheme, • Staff discount, • Real autonomy and progression opportunity Apply Now If you’re a motivated field sales professional who enjoys building relationships and driving growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing business.
