Senior Sales Consultant - Public Sector Location: Nottingham (Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days remote after initial training) Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Uncapped Commission (£80,000 OTE) Ventro Group is a UK-leading fire safety and building compliance specialist, delivering active and passive fire protection to social housing, healthcare, education, facilities management and government clients across the UK. Following significant private equity investment from KLAR Partners, Ventro is entering an accelerated growth phase and is now seeking an exceptional Senior Sales Consultant to drive high‑value public sector and construction-led fire safety solutions. The opportunity: • Take ownership of a defined territory focused on public sector, social housing, healthcare, education, and wider government accounts, winning large, multi‑site fire safety and building compliance contracts., • Lead on high‑value, complex solution sales across passive fire protection, active fire systems and wider building safety services, engaging at senior and C‑suite level., • Join a high‑growth, private‑equity backed group with a clear strategy to become the UK’s leading full‑service safety and compliance partner., • Benefit from a highly competitive package, company car/car allowance and a genuinely uncapped commission structure with huge earning potential. What you will do: • Proactively win new public sector and construction‑related business (local authorities, housing associations, main contractors, framework providers), achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue and margin targets., • Build and develop senior‑level relationships with key stakeholders including procurement, asset management, compliance, estates and main contractor project teams., • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, technical scoping, solution design with internal specialists, pricing, proposal/tender development and closing., • Leverage public sector frameworks and existing routes to market to secure major programmes of work in line with building safety and fire compliance regulations., • Represent Ventro as a trusted advisor on active and passive fire safety, educating clients on regulatory change, risk, and best practice., • Work closely with the Sales Director and wider commercial leadership to forecast accurately, report on pipeline and contribute to growth strategy., • Coach and inspire a team of Sales Consultants/Business Development Executives, driving high performance and accountability. What we are looking for: • A highly experienced, professional B2B sales leader with a consistent track record of winning and growing high‑value contracts (six and seven‑figure deals), ideally in fire safety, building compliance or construction services., • Proven success selling into the public sector and/or social housing – confident with frameworks, tenders, OJEU/UK procurement regulations and complex buying groups., • Strong background in solution‑based, consultative selling rather than transactional product sales, with the ability to challenge, shape and define client requirements., • Experience leading or mentoring sales teams, setting and managing performance against stretching targets., • Knowledge of passive fire protection, fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, fire alarms and related building safety services is strongly preferred (or closely related construction/compliance services)., • Commercially astute, target‑driven and resilient, with a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success.
