Developer Partnerships Executive Location: Remote + International Travel Salary: Up to £32,000 + bonus/commission potential About Us We run some of the games industry’s most respected global events and media platforms, including the Big Indie Pitch (BIP) – a long-running competition connecting indie developers with publishers, platforms, and investors worldwide. As we relaunch and expand BIP globally in 2026, we’re looking for a driven, outgoing, and passionate individual to help take it to the next level. The Role This is a unique hybrid role combining partnerships, events, community, and commercial responsibilities. You’ll be the industry-facing lead for all indie developer initiatives, acting as the key point of contact for developers, indie groups, and partners worldwide. You’ll grow and manage the Big Indie Pitch series globally – from onboarding new partners and communities, to hosting events, to shaping how we engage with indie developers across our ecosystem. This includes the commercial angle, as well as strategy, and live delivery. This role is ideal for someone socially confident, who loves indie games, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is excited by international travel and industry networking. Overview of Priorities • Run best-in-class pitch events that developers, sponsors, and partners value, • Scale the Big Indie Pitch globally (alongside our current events) via partner events and collaboration partnerships, • Turn the BIP into a sustainable, revenue-generating business unit by generating qualified leads for the sales team Core ResponsibilitiesIndie Community & Partnerships • Build and manage relationships with indie developer communities, hubs, and organisations worldwide, • Identify and onboard new regional partners to host Big Indie Pitch events, • Act as the primary point of contact for all indie-facing initiatives Events & Hosting • Organise, manage, and host Big Indie Pitch events globally (both within our conferences and partner events), • Coordinate judges, developers, and schedules for pitch sessions, • Ensure smooth delivery of events and a great experience for all participants, • Travel internationally to attend and run events (significant travel required) Post-Event Follow-Ups • Make sure entrants receive feedback from judges in a timely manner, • Write articles about the winners so that they can be featured on our sites (like PocketGamer.com) and ensure timely coverage of our BIP and indie activities on all our media properties, • Ensure all prizes are delivered, and communication with winners is maintained post-event, • Updating and maintaining a running database (or spreadsheet) of centralised indie activities and contact details Commercial Support & Lead Generation • Identify opportunities for sponsorship, partnerships, and commercial growth, • Generate and bring in qualified leads for the sales team (with commission incentive), • Support the development of partner-facing materials and propositions (ensure sponsorships are delivered as planned and branding is used correctly), • Be responsible for the Big Indie Pitch success as a business unit Growth & Marketing Collaboration • Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute strategies to grow BIP participation and visibility, • Contribute to campaigns, content ideas, and community engagement initiatives, • Help shape and improve the Big Indie Pitch website and overall proposition, • Coordinate with our other sites, including PocketGamer.com and wider Enthusiast Gaming properties like Addicting Games, to seek opportunities for promotion and coverage of indie activities around our wider group Programme Development • Support the relaunch and ongoing evolution of Big Indie Pitch, • Help coordinate new initiatives such as the Big Indie Awards, • Contribute ideas to improve formats, reach, and industry impact About You We’re looking for someone who is: • Passionate about indie games and the games industry, • A natural communicator – confident, approachable, and professional, • Experience in hosting and presenting, or a strong degree of comfort in those public-facing positions that can be built on, • Comfortable speaking to both indie developers and senior industry stakeholders (including publishers and platforms), • Highly organised, with the ability to manage events and multiple projects simultaneously, • A self-starter with lots of energy and initiative, • Willing, excited and available to travel frequently (globally), • Diplomatic and confident in group settings (e.g. coordinating judges and pitch decisions), • Good sales skills, or willingness to learn Desirable (But Not Essential) • Experience in games, events, community management, or partnerships, • Understanding of indie development or having worked closely with developers, • Commercial experience or time spent in a sales/sponsorship role What We Offer • The opportunity to become a key figure in one of the games industry’s most recognised indie initiatives, • Extensive international travel and networking opportunities, • Direct exposure to top developers, publishers, and platforms, • The chance to shape and grow a global programme from the ground up, • Bonus/commission scheme linked to commercial performance, • Remote-first working environment with flexible hours, • Supportive team environment, • Chance to develop expertise across sales, content and event disciplines
