    Welder – Fabricator Location: Glasgow (Workshop-based) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible working options – 4-day week possible) Salary: £33,000 per annum (equivalent to £17.03 per working hour) About the Role We’re looking for a practical, energetic, and fast-working individual with a strong background in fabrication and welding to join our growing team. You’ll mainly work with stainless steel (TIG and some MIG), producing light fabrications for our innovative range of access equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in high-quality workmanship, and values efficiency within a relaxed but professional environment. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team, working alongside two part-time welders and collaborating with other departments when needed. Key Responsibilities • Review fabrication schedules and plan your workload accordingly., • Weld light stainless steel assemblies (primarily TIG)., • Occasionally weld mild steel pallet bases, jigs, and components., • Load completed parts to storage racks for surface treatment., • Operate vibratory polishing machines (loading/unloading)., • Perform light dressing or finishing where required (usually minimal due to laser-cut parts)., • Maintain and operate workshop machinery: lathes, mills, drills, downdraft benches, welding plant, and power tools., • Contribute to a safe, clean, and organised work environment., • (Upcoming) Operate our new robot manipulator for larger fabrications., • (Upcoming) Assist in designing and building our new welding booth and storage layout for improved workflow. About You: • Strong background in fabrication and welding (TIG essential; MIG advantageous)., • Able to work independently and efficiently., • Practical, proactive, and committed to quality., • Comfortable in a small, collaborative team., • Willing to take on varied workshop tasks.
