Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Building Services Liverpool | Full Time | 4-Day Working Week | Competitive Salary + Benefits Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? You'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary engineering team, contributing technical expertise, leadership and high-quality design output. What You'll Be Doing • Producing, reviewing and leading electrical building services designs, including power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, containment, and sustainable electrical solutions, • Providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring design quality across all project stages, • Collaborating closely with mechanical, sustainability, BIM and project management teams, • Engaging with clients, architects and external stakeholders to support project delivery and maintain strong professional relationships, • Ensuring designs meet current regulations, industry standards and best practice guidance, • Strong experience in electrical building services engineering within a consultancy environment, • Proven ability to lead projects or significant design packages independently, • Excellent knowledge of UK electrical design standards, building regulations and sector guidance, • Proficiency in Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit and lighting design software, • Confident communicator with excellent client-facing and team-working skills, • Positive, proactive, solution-focused mindset, • 4-day working week (full-time salary), • Opportunity to work on high-profile, technically challenging projects, • Supportive, collaborative team culture focused on technical excellence, • Career progression and professional development opportunities Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
