Role Overview - Private Client Department Secretary £43000-£47000 • Permanent, full‑time, • Department: Private Client (Legal + Trust & Tax sections), • Team: Joining a group of six secretaries supporting solicitors, accountants, and fee earners Key Responsibilities, • Liaising with clients face‑to‑face and over the phone, • Preparing, sewing, and binding deeds and Wills, • File opening and compliance support, • Assisting with electronic billing, • Supporting solicitors, accountants, and fee earners across the department, • Diary and document management, • Maintaining filing systems effectively, • Audio/copy typing, including digital dictation, • Assisting with electronic bibles, • General administrative duties under tight deadlines Candidate Profile, • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a PA/Secretary (legal background essential, ideally Private Client), • Well‑organised, intelligent, and professional with excellent telephone manner, • Discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately, • Strong attention to detail, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills, • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines, • Excellent IT skills in Word and Excel; advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, • Fast and accurate typing speed (65 wpm) Key Skills & Attributes, • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service, • Resilient in demanding circumstances, • Initiative‑driven, adaptable, and proactive, • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently, • Strong time management and flexibility, • Persistent, committed, and detail‑oriented, • Approachable, collaborative team player, • Strong business writing and numeracy skills
