Chinti and Parker is a London based British knitwear brand. Known for its playful and bold use of colour in luxurious cashmere knitwear. Position: This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including product development, garment technology, and production assistance, all managed simultaneously. We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic 1 to 2 years’ experience candidate to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp attention to detail and a comprehensive grasp of garment construction and production processes. They will work closely alongside our design team and production manager to actualize our knitwear and woven collections, ensuring adherence to our exacting standards of quality and style. Collaboration and effective communication within a team setting are essential qualities, as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Responsibilities: • Work closely with the design team to translate design concepts into fully realized products., • Help to research and source materials, trims, and techniques appropriate for each design, considering factors such as cost, quality, and sustainability., • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of materials and samples., • Create and maintain detailed technical specifications, including sketches, CAD drawings, and measurements, to guide the production process., • Collaborate with the production team to oversee sample development and production, conducting fit sessions and quality control checks as needed., • Creating accurate and appropriate grading rules for products, • Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and best practices related to knitwear / woven design and production and apply this knowledge to enhance our product offerings., • Support the development of new product categories and collections i.e. wovens and jersey ranges., • Create collection overviews and range plans in Illustrator., • Work with the e-commerce & wholesale teams to share garment specifics and collection details., • Organize and manage the office samples & development swatches, • Occasionally assist with showroom and photoshoot preparation Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1 + years of experience in working with RTW womenswear with a strong passion for womenswear. Or a degree in fashion design/development with relevant industry placement experience. • Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential, • Experience using Excel to create tech packs., • Zedonk training is preferred but not necessary, • Knowledge of knitwear stitches, construction, and gauges., • General garment construction knowledge across all categories – knit, woven, jersey, • Understanding of fabrics, yarns and trims, • Measuring garments & Quality control training, • Training with size set grading across categories, • Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and craftsmanship., • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment., • Strong organization skills and time management Applications: Please send applications to
