As an integral member of Insite's Intelligence Team, the Intelligence Analyst is responsible for leveraging open-source intelligence (OSINT) for threat monitoring, detection, mitigation, and reporting. They act as Insite’s eyes and ears by actively scanning the horizon to detect and report on incidents that may impact Insite and its clients’ operations. The Intelligence Analyst is a highly organized, flexible and proactive person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collegial culture and takes pride in adding value to Insite’s growing and dynamic business. The Intelligence Analyst maintains close interaction with other Insite business units, including Consulting, Sales, Operations, Investigations, and Protection, and strives to offer these services to clients as appropriate. A successful Intelligence Analyst will contribute to the ongoing execution of Insite’s Intelligence team in two core competencies: Protective and Operational Intelligence gathering, analysis, and dissemination. Positions are hybrid, with both in-person and remote work expectations. Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor's degree required, ideally with a specialization in: Criminology, International Relations, Political Science, Psychology, History, English, Communications or related, • 1-3 years of experience in the security industry, military or law enforcement, or any research heavy position., • Desire to learn and grow within the security sector, especially OSINT collection and threat assessments, • Excellent writing skills, particularly when identifying and contextualizing threats in clear, cohesive, and concise reports, • Deep understanding and passion for breaking news, geopolitical events and risk issues, • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, • Eagerness to take on and complete projects with little oversight, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Solid research experience, preferably in the security sector, and demonstrated ability to manage information, • Must be a detail-oriented problem solver, • Familiarity with OSINT tools preferred but not required Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Protective Intelligence • Act as a dedicated Protective Intelligence Analyst for approximately 2-5 of Insite’s tailored security programs, fulfilling the outlined requirements for protection of covered entities and executives (differs per account), • Manage the assignment and completion of all intelligence-related services for each assigned account, including but not limited to, internet threat monitoring, dark web findings, fraudulent profile identification and removal, and personal information removal, • Apply threat assessment criteria to online findings and determine potential impact to the protected entity, following escalation protocols established with the internal program team and Client, • Use automated SaaS platforms and manual searches to identify threatening online activity targeting protected entities and individuals across social media, online forums, and alternative sites, • Collaborate with the wider program team to ensure that our intelligence capabilities are effectively enhancing the Clients’ security, • Prepare bespoke intelligence assessments, reports, briefings and presentations aligned with Client requirements and Account Manager directives, • Identify and develop new sources of information and enhance capabilities to collect and analyze intel in support of the team’s objectives Operational Intelligence • Use open-source intelligence (OSINT) to identify global events and threatening activities that may have direct or indirect impacts across all Insite’s client base, including executives, employees, offices, and special events, • Monitor long-term protest trends and groups of concern, keeping track of groups’ overall missions and goals, TTPs, and POIs, • Develop and maintain a workstream related to predictive intelligence analysis, including but not limited to, identifying Client affiliations that may become a future risk vector due to the Client’s industry or an executive’s community engagement, political affiliations, investments, etc., • Lead Insite’s strategic approach to coverage of major operational events, including snap calls, regular client briefings, live monitoring engagements, Account Manager outreach, etc., • Work across the GSOC and the Intelligence teams to ensure strategic intelligence is passed onto the GSOC analysts responsible for coverage of relevant operations, • Contribute to the drafting and dissemination of strategic intelligence advisories, as directed by Intelligence leadership, • Participate in regular and ad-hoc internal initiatives A non-disclosure agreement and background check will be required for employment. The annual salary range is £54,000 – 57,000.
