An established family-run commercial laundry business. We are looking for an experienced Laundry Production Supervisor to take responsibility for our bedding and towels operation, serving approximately 25 clients across serviced apartments, Airbnb accommodation and facilities management. Each client has individual requirements. Your responsibility will be to ensure these are followed throughout production, with every order processed, checked, recorded and ready for dispatch on time. This is a hands-on factory-floor role, working closely with the Factory Manager and production team. You will actively supervise each stage, follow up on outstanding work and resolve problems before they affect the client. Your responsibilities • Organise daily bedding and towel workloads around delivery deadlines, staffing and machine availability., • Oversee orders from receipt and sorting through washing, drying, ironing, folding, packing and dispatch., • Give staff clear instructions and check that each client’s processing and finishing requirements are followed., • Keep clients’ stock identifiable throughout production, preventing mixed orders and incorrect size identification., • Check linen and towels for cleanliness, finish, folding consistency, marks and damage., • Separate items requiring rewash and ensure they are followed through to completion., • Ensure booking sheets accurately record quantities, processing dates, rewashes and discrepancies., • Check completed orders for correct quantities, packing, labels and client instructions before dispatch., • Identify delays, shortages, equipment issues and quality problems early, escalating where necessary., • Train and support staff while maintaining a safe, clean and organised working area. Essential experience and skills • Previous commercial laundry experience processing bedding and towels., • Experience supervising staff or coordinating work within a commercial laundry., • A practical understanding of commercial washing, drying, ironing and folding processes., • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage different client requirements., • Confidence directing staff, checking their work and following tasks through., • The ability to remain organised when workloads and priorities change., • Basic computer skills to maintain digital booking sheets and production records. What we expect you to achieve Consistent quality, accurate records and orders ready on time. You will take ownership of the bedding and towels workflow, ensuring client instructions are delivered reliably and reducing the need for management to chase individual stages.
