Are you someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with software deployments, and keeping systems running smoothly? \n We're looking for a Release & Configuration Technician to join a growing technology team responsible for delivering software releases to customers and maintaining internal and cloud-based environments. \n This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT Support, Infrastructure, DevOps, Release Management or Systems Administration who's looking to develop their career within software delivery and automation. What you'll be doing\n \n You'll play a key role in ensuring software releases are delivered accurately and on time while supporting internal infrastructure and customer environments. \n Responsibilities include: \n\n • Coordinating software releases across customer environments\n, • Supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\n, • Troubleshooting installation and configuration issues\n, • Managing Windows, Linux and SQL Server environments\n, • Maintaining development, test and deployment environments\n, • Monitoring hosted and cloud platforms and responding to incidents\n, • Managing support tickets within agreed SLAs\n, • Maintaining technical documentation and configuration records\n, • Following change management processes\n, • Working closely with Development, Support and Project teams\n, • Identifying opportunities to improve deployment processes and automation\n, • Supporting occasional out-of-hours software releases\nWhat we're looking for\n We're interested in people with experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following: Essential\n\n • Exposure to CI/CD and software deployment processes\n, • Experience using Git or other version control systems\n, • Basic scripting or programming knowledge\n, • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\n, • Good understanding of Office 365 and Windows environments\n, • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail\n, • Strong communication skills\n, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nDesirable\n\n, • Windows Server administration\n, • Linux administration\n, • SQL Server\n, • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VPNs)\n, • Experience working within SLA-driven support environments\nWhat's in it for you?\n\n, • Opportunity to work with modern software delivery technologies\n, • Exposure to CI/CD, automation and cloud platforms\n, • Collaborative technical team\n, • Ongoing learning and career development\n, • Hybrid working\n, • Permanent position\n\n If you're passionate about technology, enjoy troubleshooting, and want to build a career around software delivery and release management, we'd love to hear from you.
