Supply Chain Planning Analyst Location: Desford, Leicester Contract Type: 12 Months - Likely To Extend Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering / Supply Chain About the Role As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst, you’ll play a crucial part in preparing the business for the rollout of a new ERP system. Your work will directly support the transformation by: • Gathering and validating packaging and supplier lead-time data from production part suppliers., • Updating internal databases and systems with accurate, up-to-date information., • Assisting in the validation and improvement of internal part parameter plans in the current ERP system. You’ll work closely with the Business Transformation Project Lead and the Supply Chain Planning Manager, contributing to a structured, data-driven transition that ensures operational readiness and continuity. Key Responsibilities • Collect and analyse supplier packaging and lead-time data to maintain system accuracy., • Support validation and documentation of plan-for-every-part parameters in ERP systems., • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing waste., • Assist in project management activities, including progress tracking and stakeholder communication., • Apply structured problem-solving and analytical techniques to support business decisions., • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize logistics processes and ensure smooth material flow. Skills & Experience Required Business Process Improvement • Understands and applies best practices to evaluate and enhance supply chain and business processes., • Skilled in using data visualization and diagnostic tools (e.g., flow charts, Pareto analysis, fishbone diagrams)., • Capable of collecting, organizing, and evaluating relevant information to make sound decisions., • Familiar with project planning tools (e.g., Gantt or PERT charts) and able to track milestones under guidance., • Basic understanding of logistics networks, lead time tracking, and shipment documentation., • Works effectively with internal logistics teams and external suppliers to maintain efficient operations. What We’re Looking For • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers., • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to data accuracy and process excellence., • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or planning roles within manufacturing or similar industries is desirable., • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
