We're working with a specialist ASC setting in Birmingham, looking for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their primary phase team and make a lasting impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing, well-resourced school that tailors education to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to using proven ASC strategies and structured routines to help children thrive. What You'll Be Doing: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASC in the primary phase Use visual timetables, PECS, and other autism-friendly approaches to aid learning Support emotional regulation and sensory needs throughout the day Build strong, consistent relationships that help reduce anxiety and build trust Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support plansWhat We're Looking For: A Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning Qualification Proven experience working with children with Autism (preferably in a school setting) A calm, patient, and proactive approach Knowledge of autism strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, visual support and sensory tools A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsWhy Work with Long Term Futures?
