Finance Officer \n Location: Broxbourne (Hybrid after probation: 3 days office, 2 days home)Salary: Approx. £32,000 per annumContract: Full-time, PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per week (9:00am - 5:00pm) \n Benefits \n\n • 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays\n, • Pension scheme (4% to 8% employer contribution)\n, • On-site parking\n, • Hybrid working after probation\n\n The Role \n An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join a busy finance team, supporting the efficient delivery of accounts payable and financial processing activities. The successful candidate will ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations and month-end tasks are completed accurately and in line with financial controls and regulatory requirements. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Process supplier invoices, payment requests and credit card transactions.\n, • Manage weekly payment runs, including BACS and urgent payments.\n, • Reconcile supplier accounts and balance sheet control accounts.\n, • Maintain accounts payable records and purchase order systems.\n, • Prepare month-end journals, accruals and prepayments.\n, • Support internal and external audit requirements.\n, • Resolve supplier and internal finance queries.\n, • Administer company credit cards, prepaid cards and petty cash reconciliations.\n, • Ensure compliance with financial procedures, controls and VAT regulations.\n, • Contribute to process improvements and finance automation initiatives.\n\n About You \n\n • Previous experience in accounts payable, purchase ledger or a similar finance role.\n, • Strong reconciliation and invoice processing experience.\n, • Good understanding of VAT and financial controls.\n, • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.\n, • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n, • Part-qualified accounting professional or qualified through relevant experience.\n\n This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to join a supportive team within a stable and growing organisation, offering hybrid working and excellent benefits.
