Would you like to join a growing Foodservice division within a large, established wholesale group – where your work directly shapes which contracts we win next? MacGregor Black is partnering with a market-leading national wholesale business to appoint a Contract Bid Executive / Junior Bid Manager. This is a permanent, on-site role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, ideally suited to someone in the North of England who’s looking for that first real step up in responsibility. Key Responsibilities: • Support and lead the preparation and submission of tender proposals for key Foodservice customers., • Work closely with the Contract Management team to identify, track, and prioritise future business opportunities., • Maintain and continually improve a professional library of contractual and bid-related documents., • Help drive a consistent, well-structured bid process so that tenders are delivered on time, every time., • Act as a point of contact for customers when the Contract Management team is unavailable, ensuring a professional, joined-up experience., • Help maximise opportunities through existing framework agreements by spotting upsell and cross-sell potential., • Collaborate with trading and commercial teams to build tailored product ranges that meet specific customer needs., • Build and maintain regional opportunity trackers to support proactive business development. What We're Looking For: • Experience in Foodservice, wholesale, or retail – ideally in a commercial, contracts, or bids/tenders environment., • Some exposure to the tender or proposal process – for example, supporting bid submissions, pricing, or documentation., • Strong communication skills – you’re comfortable working with different stakeholders and presenting ideas clearly., • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at the same time., • Confidence working with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office to analyse data and build clear, compelling documents., • A proactive mindset – you like to improve processes, not just follow them.
