The Job You’ll Do. • Effectively lead shift operations, ensuring resources are prioritised and allocated to meet operational requirements., • Manage shift changes and handovers to maintain seamless operational continuity., • Conduct initial Safety and Conduct investigations in line with company procedures., • Carry out Return to Work meetings following employee absences., • Conduct low-level conduct and absence management meetings., • Ensure stock checks are completed accurately and on schedule., • Make labour allocation decisions and maintain accurate absence records., • Monitor and manage daily operational KPIs to achieve performance targets., • Lead daily operational meetings to communicate priorities, performance, and key updates., • Coordinate the ordering of PPE and workwear to maintain adequate stock levels., • Promote 100% shift participation in Unsafe Situation Reporting to support a proactive safety culture., • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across the operational area., • Escalate out-of-hours operational, engineering, and SHE issues to the relevant managers as required., • Work a rotating three-shift pattern, covering day, night, and back shifts to support 24/7 operations. About You; • Experience managing a team within an engineering/manufacturing environment, • Educated to GCSE level or above, • Additional Management qualifications are desirable but not required (IOSH, NVQ, NEBOSH, LEAN etc.), • Committed to health & safety, • Act as a positive role model and set a good example, • Possesses a can-do positive attitude with a drive to succeed and motivate others, • Possesses excellent communication skills, • Remain calm under pressure
