The family team includes practitioners who have achieved the Law Society’s Children Law and Family Law Advanced accreditations providing advocacy in all court proceedings, ensuring their clients receive a consistent and professional service as well as a high degree of continuity. \n\n In addition, our client’s Family department is experienced in assisting high net worth individuals in divorce matters with specialist divorce solicitors with expertise in domestic abuse, adoption, child abduction, prohibitive steps orders, specific issues orders, injunctions, spousal and child maintenance, properties, pensions and freezing injunctions. \n\n Main Duties and Responsibilities: \n\n\n\t • Report directly to Department Director\n\t, • Professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs\n\t, • Assisting with casework including dealing with a range of Children / Child Care matters (LAA Funded and Private client work) as well as undertaking your own advocacy\n\t, • Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases\n\t, • Dealing with correspondence\n\t, • Preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency\n\t, • Preparing draft documents including witness statements and processing evidence\n\t, • Attending conferences and court\n\t, • Maintaining accurate time costing procedures\n\t, • Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly\n\t, • Demonstrate passion and legal experience in a broad range of Family & Children Law\n\t, • A strong academic background with a Law degree\n\t, • Clear understanding and application of Family & Children Law\n\t, • Business acumen and the ability to market the Company\n\t, • Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people\n\t, • Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance.\n\t
