Job Description: Location: LHR Cargo Terminals, Heathrow Villages (Greater London) Work Location: On the road / Airside Cargo Terminals Date Posted: Pay Rate £12.50 Job Types * Full-time * Permanent * Temp to Perm Job Overview We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to support night-shift operations* at London Heathrow Cargo Terminals*. This role involves handling, preparing, and processing cargo in a fast-paced, regulated warehouse environment while ensuring full compliance with client, safety, and aviation security requirements. Candidates must be physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly in English, as the role involves the use of hand-held scanning devices and processing operational documentation. Core Responsibilities Cargo Handling & Warehouse Operations * Locate, identify, and track cargo using hand-held scanners and electronic warehouse systems * Prepare cargo for storage or dispatch, including sorting, wrapping, labelling, and palletising * Build, break down, and reconfigure pallets for inbound and outbound shipments * Handle special or sensitive cargo products, following all relevant procedures and handling guidelines Documentation & Compliance * Accurately complete and process warehouse and client documentation * Ensure all paperwork meets client, aviation, and regulatory requirements * Follow strict security, safety, and compliance protocols at all times Manual Handling & Physical Work * Perform manual handling duties, including lifting goods typically ranging from 23kg to 30kg * Maintain safe working practices in line with manual handling guidelines * Manual handling training is preferred but will be provided if required Essential Requirements * Ability to work night shifts regularly * Valid DBS certificate issued within the last 10 weeks (mandatory) * Full 5-year employment history available for aviation security vetting * Right to Work in the UK (UK preferred, IRL acceptable) * Good level of spoken and written English * Able to read, understand, and follow process paperwork * Clear communication required when using hand-held devices and systems * Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties * Willingness to work in a secure, fast-paced cargo environment Preferred Experience * Minimum 1 year manual handling experience (preferred, not essential) * Previous warehouse, cargo, logistics, or airport experience (advantageous) Additional Information * Full aviation security vetting is required prior to starting * Training will be provided where necessary * This role is based at LHR Cargo Terminals, Heathrow Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Experience: * Manual handling: 1 year (required)
