Cleanliness and Hygiene Maintenance: - Ensure all areas of the restaurant, including kitchen, dining area, restrooms, and storage spaces, are kept clean, sanitized, and organized according to health and safety standards. - Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. - Maintain cleanliness of dining tables, chairs, floors, and other surfaces to provide a pleasant dining experience for customers. Waste Management: - Properly dispose of food waste, recyclables, and other refuse in accordance with waste management guidelines and regulations. - Monitor waste bins and recycling stations, emptying and cleaning them as needed to prevent overflow and maintain cleanliness. ** Assistance with Food Preparation:** - Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing mise en place to support smooth kitchen operations. - Ensure that all food items are stored properly, labeled correctly, and rotated to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage. Stock Management: - Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries of food, beverages, and other supplies to ensure efficient stock management. - Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, disposable items, and other essentials, and communicate any shortages to management for timely replenishment. Support for Service Operations: - Assist wait staff in setting up and clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and providing any additional support needed during peak dining hours. - Respond promptly to requests from servers or kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery to customers. ** Safety and Security:** - Follow established safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. - Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or security concerns to management immediately for resolution. ** Team Collaboration:** - Collaborate effectively with other members of the restaurant team, including kitchen staff, servers, and management, to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation in daily operations.

Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation in the kitchen. Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am from Monday to Sunday What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists: - Ensuring that the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients that ensure the right amount for quick service but does not negatively impact food costs i.e. wastage. Including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge. - Wear a full smart clean uniform to the brand standard at all times whilst on shift and protective clothing as required. - Ensure the full Pasta Evangelists Standard is adhered to, thereby ensuring our Pasta and other Products are kept to the highest possible standard for Best product quality to our customer. - To ensure that the kitchen is exceptionally clean and complies with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations. - To keep an eye on the Availability and Inform the Team leaders and wider team in advance. - Document and keep a record of information on food as appropriate to the company policy and effective date labelling and make sure stock rotation principles (FIFO) are fully adhered to. - Ensure that all par levels are maintained. - Ensure any food wastage is recorded accurately. - Utilise the SOP to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness. - For all equipment i.e. Fridges, Pasta Boiler, Ovens, Microwaves etc ensure that the right temperature records are kept and the correct procedures are followed for safe food handling. - Ensure all equipment is maintained to the SOP standard. E.g. Kitchen management system, oven, fridges, freezers etc. - Preparing and cooking food to the highest of standards and complying with the preparation of all food that meets Pasta Evangelist’s requirements as laid out within “How to Cards”. - Ensure all food is prepared quickly, in the correct order, to the How to Card standard and in line with all SOP’s. - Full Checking deliveries into the Store and reporting any issues to the Team Leader/ Manager. To Ensure that all deliveries are Received & stored appropriately and storage requirements are adhered to. - Full Operating the wash-up area effectively and ensuring any equipment used is thoroughly cleaned. - Full Use correct signage whilst cleaning is taking place. - Full Ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly at all times, following the company waste management processes in relation to recycling and adhering to Local Authority requirements. - Reporting of any equipment defects quickly to Team leader or Area Manager. - Full Ensure that all close down kitchen procedures are followed and that the kitchen is always clean and prepared as possible for the next shift. - Full Regularly organise pest checks and report any concerns to the Team leader and higher management. Who are you: - You have knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses (preferable). - You are familiar with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients. - You have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. - You are meticulous and detail-oriented when it comes to food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen organization. - You have the ability to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow instructions from the Team Leader and/or Area Manager. - You are willing to adapt to changing situations, work schedules, and tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition. Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Follow manufacturer's instructions for the proper use and storage of cleaning agents and equipment. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Follow established infection control policies to prevent the spread of pathogens. Report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management promptly. Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations. Communicate any special requests or specific needs from occupants or supervisors. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay updated on cleaning techniques and safety guidelines.

Schedule: Part-Time, Evenings The Role: As a vital member of our team, the Kitchen Porter & Bar Back will support both our kitchen and bar staff by maintaining a clean and organised environment. This role is essential to our operation, ensuring that the back of house runs smoothly, and that our front of house team can provide the best possible service to our guests. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure all kitchenware, cookware, and utensils are washed and stored appropriately. - Assist in the preparation of food under the guidance of our kitchen staff. - Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment. - Support the bar staff by restocking and preparing the bar area, including organizing bottles, glasses, and other necessary items. - Handle the proper disposal of recycling and waste materials. - Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
