Female Complex Care Assistant – Carlisle Pay: £16.00 per hour (incl. holiday pay) Shifts: Nights & weekend day shifts available Guaranteed hours available Important: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered). This is a female-only role due to client care needs (Equality Act 2010). About the Role Routes Healthcare is hiring Complex Care Assistants to provide 1-to-1 specialist care in clients' own homes. This specific care package is supporting children with complex health needs, so experience working with or caring for children is highly beneficial. You'll deliver dedicated, clinical support while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and family-focused approach to care. Key Responsibilities Provide 1-2-1 care in a child's home environment Support with: Tracheostomy care & ventilation PEG feeding and nutritional support Medication management and clinical observations Personal care delivered with dignity and sensitivity Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children Monitor and respond to changes in condition Maintain accurate care records Work closely with families and healthcare professionals What Makes This Role Different This is advanced, specialist care, supporting children with complex clinical needs, including: Ventilation and respiratory support Neurological conditions Life-limiting and palliative care needs Complex physical disabilities You'll combine clinical skills with a compassionate, child-focused approach to support both the child and their family.
