We are excited to offer a Deputy Manager position at our welcoming 4-bed home in Carlisle. If you are a qualified and experienced Children's Home Deputy Manager with a passion for inspiring leadership, we want to hear from you! \n\nYour Responsibilities\n\n • Support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care that aligns with our Statement of Purpose.\n, • Foster strong team communication and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.\n, • Oversee care quality, staff training, development, and supervision.\n, • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards.\n, • Monitor the condition and safety of the home, equipment, and furnishings.\n, • Assist with budgeting, financial oversight, and accurate record-keeping.\n, • Promote equality, diversity, and child protection throughout the home.\n, • Lead quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous service improvement.\n, • Provide effective team leadership, supervision, and appraisals.\n, • Maintain confidentiality at all times.\n, • Support new staff through their induction process.\n\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n, • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.\n, • Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent).\n, • Excellent communication and listening skills.\n, • A willingness to learn and collaborate within a small team.\n, • Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check (we cover the cost).\n, • Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work is advantageous.\n, • A full, clean UK driving licence and the ability to support other homes when needed.\n\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n, • Flexible shift rotation: 2 days on, 2 days off, with staggered start times (8am, 12 noon, or 2pm).\n, • Sleep-in allowance of £62.50 per night (up to £3,257.28 extra per year).\n, • Generous 6 weeks' annual leave.\n, • Company pension scheme.\n, • Employee discount scheme with major retailers.\n, • Wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme.\n, • Enhanced pay for overtime, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.\n, • Career progression opportunities.\n
