Job Overview As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in driving clinical excellence, ensuring safe practice, and maintaining the highest standards of care within the home. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will provide clinical leadership across the service, supporting strong governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in line with CQC and Local Authority standards. You will lead by example on shift, ensuring best practice is embedded across all aspects of care delivery. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee medication management systems, ensuring safe, effective, and fully compliant practice, • Drive excellence in wound care, clinical documentation, and person-centred care planning, • Oversee Accident and Incident reporting processes, ensuring thorough investigation and embedding learning into practice, • Ensure compliance with all CQC, Local Authority, and regulatory requirements, • Provide clinical supervision, leadership, and performance support to nursing and care teams, • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of care and nursing standards, • Mentor, coach, and develop staff to build capability, confidence, and accountability, • Promote a positive, open, and inclusive culture focused on high-quality care delivery, • Support audits, inspections, and the delivery of continuous quality improvement plans, • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance outcomes for residents, • Act as a visible clinical role model while working both on shift and in a supervisory capacity About You • NMC Registered Nurse with an active PIN, • Proven experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within a care home setting, • Strong understanding of CQC standards, governance, and regulatory compliance, • Confident in leading medication management, wound care, and clinical audits, • Passionate about developing teams through coaching and mentorship, • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, • Committed to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care Requirements • Active NMC registration, • Demonstrable experience in medication governance and clinical oversight, • Experience managing and improving Accident and Incident processes, • Strong leadership and team management capability, • Experience supporting inspections and driving service improvements, • Ability to work flexibly across supernumerary and on-shift responsibilities Benefits • Full-time position, 39 hours per week, • Supportive and experienced senior leadership team, • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities, • Clear career progression within a growing organisation, • Opportunity to shape and influence clinical standards within the home
