The Staffordshire FA is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Grounds & Pitch Care Operative role, marking a major step forward in grassroots facility development across the county. Staffordshire FA - Grounds & Pitch Care Operative Location: Based in Uttoxeter and Stafford, with travel across Staffordshire Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Overview Staffordshire FA is recruiting a Grounds & Pitch Care Operative to support the improvement and maintenance of grassroots football pitches across the county. This hands-on role involves operating machinery, maintaining pitches to high standards, and working closely with local clubs to enhance the football experience. Key Responsibilities • Operate and maintain pitch care machinery across multiple sites, • Deliver high-quality pitch maintenance to reduce cancellations and improve playing conditions, • Work independently, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions, • Support volunteers and clubs with advice and guidance on pitch care, • Experience with groundskeeping equipment and machinery, • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work, • Ability to work alone, manage time effectively, and communicate with multiple sites, • Empathy for volunteers and a commitment to supporting grassroots football, • Basic digital literacy and willingness to learn new systems How to Apply To apply, complete the Employment Application Form and the Equality & Diversity Monitoring Form in the recruitment pack below.
