Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Line Operator Job Description The production line operator is a vital role responsible for various production activities necessary for manufacturing conductive materials such as metal plated fibers or coated non-woven materials. This position involves handling both large and small volume chemical transfers, preparing chemical solutions, inspecting raw materials, testing in-process and finished materials, recording data, labeling and packaging finished goods, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of process and test equipment. Responsibilities • Conduct large and small volume chemical transfers., • Prepare chemical solutions and inspect raw materials., • Test in-process and finished materials and record data., • Label and package finished goods., • Clean and maintain process and test equipment., • Handle hazardous materials and manage spill clean-ups following established safety procedures., • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure a safe and productive workplace., • Participate in environmental health and safety programs as assigned., • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize operational efficiency., • Manufacturing or chemical handling experience., • Attention to detail., • Safety consciousness., • Ability to use a respirator., • At least 6 months to a year of manufacturing or chemical handling experience., • US citizenship., • High school diploma or GED., • Ability to work well with minimal supervision., • Effective communication skills., • Enthusiasm and initiative to develop and maintain robust, repeatable, and safe manufacturing processes., • Compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DEC). The position operates on a standard schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
