\n\n\n\n\n Summary: \n\n The Department of Anesthesia at Westchester Medical Center is looking to add a caring and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to our growing team. In this clinical consultative role, the PA will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside anesthesiologists, surgeons, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and other medical professionals to manage hospitalized patients suffering from acute pain. \n\n \n\n Why Join Us? \n\n\n\t • Diverse Clinical Experience: Gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of acute pain management modalities.\n\t, • Collaborative Team Culture: Thrive in a collegial environment that values teamwork, mutual support, and the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care.\n\t, • Academic Growth Mentorship: Work in a vibrant academic setting that fosters continuous learning, professional development, and leadership opportunities.\n\t, • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and perioperative evaluations within the Acute Pain Service.\n\t, • Participate in daily interdisciplinary roundspresenting patient updates, contributing to clinical decisions, and ensuring seamless implementation of care plans.\n\t, • Recommend, order, and manage multimodal pain therapies, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches such as local anesthetic, lidocaine, and ketamine infusions.\n\t, • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic studies and lab results.\n\n\n\n\t, • Perform focused histories and physicals (HPs), and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.\n\t, • Manage and monitor epidural and peripheral nerve catheters in collaboration with the Regional Anesthesia team.\n\t, • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.\n\t, • Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff on pain management strategies.\n\t, • Participate in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives within the Department of Anesthesiology.\n\n\n \n\n What Were Looking For: \n\n\n\t • Board certified Physician Assistant who possesses, or is eligible to obtain, an applicable NYS license\n\t, • Ideal candidates will have prior inpatient pain management or inpatient medicine experience but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply\n\t, • Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n\t, • Candidates with active BLS/ACLS certifications\n\n\n \n\n About Us: \n\n WMCHealth is a 1,900-bed healthcare system headquartered in Valhalla, New York, with 10 hospitals on seven campuses spanning 6,200 square miles of the Hudson Valley.
