The Chief Financial Officer assists the Hospital CEO and other leadership in managing financial and legal aspects of the business. The officer oversees accounting, purchasing, revenue integrity, health information systems, and patient access. This role balances operational responsibilities with strategic management, requiring a fast‑working, confident, critical thinker who can handle multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or health care administration (Master’s preferred)., • Licensure/Certification: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Certified Manager of Patient Accounts (preferred but not required)., • Experience: 7–10 years of progressive leadership in hospital finance, with expertise in regulatory compliance, central supply management, SOX compliance, and GAAP., • Excel expertise required., • Strong teamwork and individual work skills., • Experience developing and motivating staff; knowledge of HR principles and employment law., • Computer proficiency and data analysis experience; demonstrated budget development and strategic planning implementation., • Ability to build effective relationships with physicians, staff, and board members., • Leadership and complex organizational management skills., • Confidentiality regarding patient, financial, and medical information., • Flexibility to address shifting priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a stressful environment., • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to address large and diverse audiences., • Professional appearance that reflects positively on the organization., • Judgment and discretion in decision‑making., • Financial and Revenue Leadership, • Lead revenue integrity and financial management processes., • Develop policies and procedures to enhance asset safety and operational efficiency., • Create cash accounting, line‑item budgets, forecasts, and models; provide financial insights for improvement., • Assess overall financial position, recommend plans and budgets, and monitor expenses and revenue., • Direct development of financial reporting systems., • Review effectiveness of financial and accounting systems; lead improvement initiatives., • Oversee financial and revenue integrity team leaders., • Collaborate on major financial plans, including capital expenditures., • Maintain departmental reports and regulatory data., • Supervise reimbursements, budget, patient accounting, and general accounting functions., • Prepare comprehensive financial reports across assets, liabilities, income, and expenses., • Purchasing and Materials Management Leadership, • Lead purchasing and materials management., • Develop policies to enhance purchasing power and operational efficiency., • Oversee planning, practices, procedures, and personnel for the central supply program., • Operations Oversight, • Recruit, hire, train, and support staff in key operational areas., • Identify and resolve efficiency, productivity, and morale issues., • Complete employee evaluations in a timely manner per policy., • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers; effective problem solving., • Proactively meet customer needs and respond promptly., • Inform the President and appropriate staff of problems and recommend solutions., • Participate in education and development of peers and staff., • Develop specific work plans and due dates., • Follow through on assignments within timeframes., • Prioritize assignments effectively., • Accept additional assignments willingly., • Adapt to change, work pressures, or different situations without undue stress., • Improve work methods and cost control, resource utilization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
