Job Description FIRE ALARM & SECURITY SYSTEM INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN Direct Hire | Company Vehicle Provided | Career Growth Opportunity Our client, a rapidly expanding security and life-safety systems provider, is seeking a skilled Alarm Installation Technician with experience in fire alarm systems, intrusion alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control. Candidates with a Fire Alarm License (FLA) or strong fire alarm installation background are highly preferred and may qualify for premium compensation. POSITION OVERVIEW The Alarm Installation Technician will install, program, service, and troubleshoot commercial and residential fire alarm systems, security alarms, CCTV systems, and electronic access control systems. The ideal candidate can manage projects independently from installation through system activation while maintaining strict safety and code compliance. This role requires strong technical ability, professionalism with customers, and the initiative to work with minimal supervision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Install, configure, and service:, • Fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional), • Intrusion/security alarm systems, • Video surveillance (CCTV) systems, • Access control systems, • Perform system testing, inspections, and troubleshooting, • Ensure installations comply with applicable codes, licensing requirements, and manufacturer specifications, • Program control panels and devices, • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system schematics, • Coordinate with customers and project stakeholders on-site, • Complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision, • Maintain documentation of work performed, • Active Texas Private Security License (required), • Demonstrated experience installing alarm or low-voltage systems, • Ability to work independently and manage job sites, • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, • Customer-focused communication and professionalism, • Fire Alarm License (FLA) - strongly preferred, • Proven experience with commercial fire alarm installations, • Knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (NFPA 72 familiarity a plus), • Experience with multi-site or complex installations COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive hourly pay based on experience, • Up to $30/hour for licensed Fire Alarm Technicians, • Company-provided pickup truck, • Company phone and laptop, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Direct-hire, long-term employment Successful candidates will be: • Self-motivated and dependable, • Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset, • Comfortable working independently or with a small team, • Able to identify issues and proactively resolve them, • Committed to delivering high-quality installations and customer service
